Kapha: Also pronounced “Kuppa” the people from this dosha are based on earth and water which gives them a calm and collected personality. They have thick bones and are slightly more built-in in their appearance. They also are very caring by their nature. They are also described to be steady, stable, heavy, slow, cold, and soft.

With these doshas, a person may possess one dosha as primary and the second dosha as secondary which make the following outcomes for different persons:-

  • Vata-Kaffa

People with Vata Doshas should eat moist and warm foods like Oats, Bananas, eggs, lean meat and dairy. They should avoid foods like raw vegetables, dried fruits, nuts, seeds and cold deserts.

While taking care of their fitness the Vata dosha people should be more inclined towards activities like running, cycling, walking, yoga and pilates.

Pitta

  • Quick metabolism

Weaknesses:

  • Argumentative

  • Non-tolerant to hot temperatures
  • Their skin is prone to acne and inflammation

Diet and exercise for Pitta Dosha

People with Pitta dosha should consume light foods, fruits, non-starchy vegetables, oats, and eggs and should refrain from foods that lead to heat in the body as it may trigger acne and breakouts. They should also avoid red meat, potatoes and spices.

With their leadership qualities, they should play team sports to stay fit and active.

Kapha

Strengths:

  • Healthy bones & joints

Weaknesses:

  • Prone to weight gain
  • Irregular sleeping patterns

  • Susceptible to mental stress

For exercise Kapha dosha people should combine the likes of cardio and weight training. As they are friendly they should work out with a partner cross-fit, Tabata(high intensity movements for short intervals of time) and total body workouts are some activities that they can perform.
